$768M More in US DESC Aviation Fuel Contracts

April is not the cruelest month for companies that sell aviation fuel to the US military. Six more firms have secured up to $768.6 million in new aviation fuel contracts from the US Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) in Fort Belvoir, VA. 

These contracts are on top of $1.24 billion in aviation fuel contracts awarded on April 23/10.

They are 12 month fixed price with economic price adjustment indefinite-delivery/ indefinite quantity contracts for aviation fuel for delivery in the USA. 

The winners are:
  • ConocoPhillips Co. in Bartlesville, OK won a maximum $175.5 million contract for aviation fuel. Other locations of performance are in Colorado and Kansas. The original proposal was Web solicited with 27 responses. The date of performance completion is April 30/11 (SP0600-10-D-0478).
  • Equilon Enterprises, dba Shell Oil Products – Shell Mobile in Houston, TX won a maximum $195.2 million contract for aviation fuel. Other location of performance is Deer Park, TX. The original proposal was Web solicited with 27 responses. The date of performance completion is April 30/11 (SP0600-10-D-0469).
  • Calumet Sales Co. in Indianapolis, IN won a maximum $132.2 million contract for aviation fuel. Other location of performance is in Louisiana. The original proposal was Web solicited with 27 responses. The date of performance completion is April 30/11 (SP0600-10-D-0466).
  • Placid Refining Co., a small business qualifier in Port Allen, LA won a maximum $107.4 million contract for aviation fuel. The original proposal was Web solicited with 27 responses. The date of performance completion is April 30/11 (SP0600-10-D-0468).
  • Gary-Williams Energy Corp., a small business qualifier in Denver, CO won a maximum $105.6 million contract for aviation fuel. Other location of performance is in Oklahoma. The original proposal was Web solicited with 27 responses. The date of performance completion is April 30, 2011 (SP0600-10-D-0475).
  • Hunt Refining Co. in Tuscaloosa, AL won a maximum $52.7 million contract for aviation fuel. The original proposal was Web solicited with 27 responses. The date of performance completion is April 30/11 (SP0600-10-D-0465).
