a.i. solutions has won a contract valued at up to $56 million to provide quality assurance services in the production and deployment of the U.S. ballistic missile defense system (BMDS).

The task order, awarded under the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Support Services (MiDAESS) program, has a performance period of one year with one additional option year and is part of an umbrella contract awarded the company in January. The task order includes support for the development, implementation, and execution of quality assurance policies and programs for the BMDS program; supporting the program’s risk-management process for quality assurance; and supporting system demonstration activities, including flight and ground tests.

“The quality-assurance work required under MiDAESS plays a key role in maintaining the nation’s missile defense capability,” said Robert Sperling, a.i. solutions President and CEO. “The a.i. solutions team is honored and excited to be part of this important program.”

The work will be performed by a.i. solutions and its subcontractors, Troy 7 and INTUITIVE, in Huntsville, AL; Dahlgren, VA; and the Washington, DC area.
