CACI buys imagery and mapping company

By David Hubler

CACI International Inc. will acquire TechniGraphics Inc., a provider of imagery and geospatial services, including digital maps, to the U.S. intelligence community, the Defense and Homeland Security departments, and allied governments.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not reported.

Founded in 1982, TechniGraphics is a 450-person company in Wooster, Ohio, with additional locations in Fort Collins, Colo., and Madrid.

Its products form the basis for intelligence analysis, military operational planning, disaster relief planning, and operations and other mapping requirements, CACI said today in a statement.

The company provides mission-essential geospatial data, services and solutions. This acquisition solidifies CACI’s competency in the mission-critical intelligence market and sustains a long-term commitment to sophisticated intelligence solutions, the statement said.

TechniGraphics' revenue in calendar year 2010 is expected to be $46 million. Closing is anticipated by Nov. 1.
